As we head into the fourth quarter of 2014, I could not possibly be more excited about the events and momentum that are happening at Bacchus House!
On September 10th, we hosted our first wine maker dinner with Sobon Wines. EVERY seat in the house filled. The wines were singing, and Chef Victor’s menu was brilliant!
Thank you to all who joined us on this evening, and thank you for your ongoing support!
As amazing as our Sobon event was, in the restaurant industry, it is necessary to continually to shoot for the stars. At this time I would also like to share with you our next Winemaker Dinner!
On Thursday, October 16th we look forward to a special dinner featuring Yannick Rousseau and his wines.
Yannick’s name might not be familiar to many of you, but his recognition is rising like rocket! Not only do those of us at Bacchus House feel that he is doing outstanding work, but so do a number of prominent wine writers. Dan Berger, Steve Heimoff, and Jon Bonne have written glowing reviews of Yannick’s wines. At his current rate of recognition, we may not have the ability to host a dinner like this in two years. So, if the idea of spending an evening with an iconic figure (before they become famous) appeals to you – this is your chance!
With the busy lives that we all lead, it may not be possible to attend a special event like a Winemaker Dinner.
What is a wine fan to do?
How about joining me on a Wednesday night in the wine room for a tasting?
Starting September 17th, I am excited to formally announce Wine Wednesdays with Harry!!
On Wednesday nights, my new project is to provide you with an opportunity to taste a flight of: some new additions to our wine program, perhaps a comparative tasting of the same varietal – from different producers or different countries, or featuring the wines of a producer that we are excited about. The format will be flexible, but our goal will be consistent – to make every visit to Bacchus House a REMARKABLE EXPERIENCE!!!
A taste of wine at Bacchus House would not be complete, of course, without the opportunity to pair it with a small (or large) plate of one of Chef Victor’s culinary creations, and the opportunity to purchase a retail priced bottle (or case!) of wine that you can also take home and enjoy.
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog, and we look forward to see you all soon!
